Yoga for Mind-Body Wellbeing
Yoga helps us to learn about and ultimately guide the interplay between mind and body as a vehicle for wellbeing. Through our practice we can develop awareness a key element in the process of change.
Each of my classes combine mindful movement, therapeutic yoga interventions, connective tissue self- body work, simple breath work and guided relaxation. This combination helps release tension and stress, build stability and strength and what's really important in today's world we give ourself time for relaxation.
This approach is accessible to anyone and doesn’t require much previous yoga experience, meaning every class I teach is suitable for complete beginners to the more experienced practitioner.
Mindful Movement marries yoga's contemplative elements with asana to create a therapeutic and transformative practice. Each class integrates the subtle yet powerful interventions of breath work to calm the mind and nervous system, postural alignment and creative use of props and sequencing to develop space in body and mind.
Therapeutic Yoga and Myofascial Release:
Almost all forms of yoga help us feel better physically and emotionally, We can take our yoga practice and make it therapeutic and thus, even more healing by integrating tools & interventions that help restore balance to all systems of the body and encourage the natural renewal processes.
Guided relaxation helps access our natural dimmer switch to restore balance to the nervous system, deepen the relaxation response, reduce stress, improve digestion, enhance immunity and promote emotional well- being.
